Michael Rubiner

Michael Rubiner is the executive producer of Nickelodeon’s hit animated series The Loud House and its spinoff series The Casagrandes, which he also helped to develop. He has worked on The Loud House since it began production in 2014, starting out as story editor/head writer, and he  recently earned two 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards for the series, for Outstanding Children’s Animated Series  and Outstanding Writing for an Animated Program. 

A Detroit native, Rubiner graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in History from Cornell University before moving to New York City where he began his career in journalism, writing for The New Yorker, The New York Times and Rolling Stone. Shifting to TV in the early ‘90s, he became a co-producer of Nickelodeon’s KaBlam! and Welcome Freshmen. He went on to write and produce many more live-action and animated series, including The Tick, Celebrity Deathmatch, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd, Kenny the Shark, Casper’s Scare School, The Naked Brothers Band and Bravest Warriors. He has also written feature scripts for Warner Brothers, Universal, Disney and National Lampoon. 

Rubiner currently resides in Los Angeles.
