Jack Hobbs

Jack Hobbs is an experiential visionary, Hispanic/cross-cultural media pioneer and a distinguished Media Executive of the Year winner.  Jack founded reVOLVER podcasts in 2015 following a distinguished career growing broadcast media properties and creating extraordinary value for marketers.

At the conclusion of his career with several Major League Baseball clubs, Hobbs was hired by SIN (soon to be Univision) by Rene Enselmo and Raul Torano. He started as a regional sales representative with Raul and rose thru the ranks as network sports, national spot and network account executive in the New York corporate office. In 1990, Hobbs took over the Dallas sales office and saw the first wave of major Hispanic agency business from Dallas, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. From 1990-1999, the Dallas region expanded from $5M to over $50M.

Hobbs left Univision Television for Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (HBC) in 1999 to build the HBC Radio Network.  What began with 37 stations and an “idea,” the HBC Radio Network grew to 72 stations with programs that included Julie Stav, the Latin GRAMMY Awards, El Garaje de AutoZone, Dra. Aliza, Dra. Isabel, the NFL, MLB, as well as the RadioCadena Network which complimented the FM music delivery with a dedicated news/talk and sports platform.  RadioCadena developed long form programming for Julie Stav, Dra Isabel, Dra Aliza, Jorge Ramos, Cuauhtemoc Blanco and more.

In 2001, Hobbs launched his signature "Privado" Concerts which brought stars such as Ricky Martin, Juanes, Jennifer Lopez and Maná to U.S. Hispanic listeners and advertisers.  From 2001-2012, Hobbs executed over 50 Privados. In 2012, Jack created the first bilingual, cross-cultural H2O Music Festival targeting millennials with artists like Maná, Weezer, John Legend, Tiesto, Snoop-Dogg and more. Hobbs has extensive C -suite level relationships in the advertising ,media, and music /label and experiential space .

After 25 years with Univision Communications, in March 2013 Hobbs joined Spanish Broadcasting Systems as Executive Vice President to build their newly launched radio network, Aire Radio Networks.

In a move to leverage his broadcast media acumen in the bourgeoning opportunities of podcasting, Hobbs launched reVOLVER podcasts in 2015.  Since its inception, Hobbs has grown the reVOLVER podcast business from 4mm downloads in 2015 to over 30mm in 2018 with a projected delivery of 52mm in 2019. Revenues have also kept pace with a 200 percent increase in base revenue from  2016 -2017 and a projected increase of 150 percent for 2018-19 . Hobbs’ partnerships with Spotify, Pandora , iTunes ,Google and Global Traffic, provide a strong distribution and revenue model for growth and development of the reVOLVER platform.
