Yarel Ramos
Strengthened by her Mexican-American heritage, Yarel Ramos defines herself as a
quintessential first-generation Latina Millennial. She holds education as a primary tool to
empower oneself. Ramos graduated from the University of Miami and is now pursuing her
Master's Degree at USC’s Annenberg School of Communication. Since 2017, she has
anchored Univision’s new midday show, Edición Digital California.
In her spare time, Yarel is an active board member of Corazón de Vida (Heart of Life), a
non-profit volunteer organization that provides support for the homeless and abandoned
children of Baja, Mexico. She is also a co-founder of RAYO, an LA non-profit
organization whose main goal is to provide resources and tools for Latino students to reach
higher education.
