Somos Más 2020 (sponsored by Voto Latino)
The year 2020 will be a pivotal year in our lifetime, in no small part because of the election and the 2020 Census. The Latinx community will comprise the second largest voting bloc in the electorate, for the first time in our history. However, demographics do not necessarily equal destiny as our community has a serious voter registration gap with over 15 million eligible Latinx voters still unregistered. We have an extraordinary opportunity to make change this election season, and will need all hands on deck to energize and excite our community to use their voice. This panel will discuss how technology, corporations, media and celebrity influencers can contribute to a thriving democracy and increased participation in 2020 and beyond.
